Compact, drip-resistant construction
With compact dimensions of only 58(W) x 86(H) x 27(D) mm, the IC-R2
easily fits in your hand palm or shirt pocket. And drip-resistant
construction provides protection for outdoor operation. (meets JIS water
resistant specification grade 2) Ample memory channels
400 memory channels are available and separated into 8 banks (50
channels for each bank) for easy memory channel management.
Auto power-off function
Selectable from 30, 60, 90 or 120 min.
Auto squelch
An automatic squelch (self-adjusting) system eliminates critical
squelch threshold settings when receiving weak signals.
Wide frequency coverage
Covers a 0.495-1309.995MHz wide frequency range divided into 9
frequency bands. The last used frequency is re-called when the operating
band is changed - like having 9 VFOs available. This system provides
simple operation!
Large internal speaker
A large, 36mm (d) internal speaker delivers loud, clear audio.
